Do you believe in the power of sport to bring about positive change and equality in the world? Are you passionate about the great outdoors and enjoy participating in athletic activities? Are you looking for a way to help empower young women in communities that need it most? If so, we have exciting news for you!
Free to Run is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team of change-makers in 2023. Our ambassadors serve as advocates and ambassadors in their communities, promoting the mission of Free to Run and supporting girls and young women in some of the world's most challenging environments.
As an ambassador, you'll have exclusive access to resources and support to help spread the word about our work. You'll be part of a supportive community of like-minded individuals who share your passion for our mission and values. And, of course, you'll get the opportunity to make a real impact by being a member of the 100k Ambassador Challenge and #EmpowerEveryMile.
The 100K Ambassador Challenge
The 100k Ambassador Challenge sets the goal for our 100 ambassadors and friends to collectively move 100,000 miles and raise $100,000 USD over the course of the year. Each Ambassador commits to an individual fundraising goal of $1,000 or more. By running, hiking, walking, swimming, or riding miles and raising funds, you'll be supporting our work to promote sport as a driver for positive change and equality, particularly for girls and young women in challenging environments.
But the 100k Ambassador Challenge and #EmpowerEveryMile are more than just a fundraising goal – they're a rallying cry for women’s inclusion in sport and physical activity. And by taking part in this challenge, you'll be part of a community of like-minded individuals who share your passion and values.
The ambassador community
As an ambassador, you'll receive our exclusive monthly ambassador newsletter with stories, resources, and tips for fundraising, and be invited to take part in a monthly virtual call where you'll get a chance to meet with some of the girls participating in the Free to Run program. This community will allow you to support each other, make new friends, and be part of a supportive network of like-minded individuals.
Who we are looking for
We welcome ambassadors of all genders who share our vision and values, and believe in gender equality both on and off the trails. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a weekend warrior, a cheering spectator, or simply want to find a way to make the world a better place, you'll fit right in with our team.
We encourage people who self-identify as members of visible minority groups or individuals with disabilities to apply. If you're ready to join the Free to Run community and make a difference.
