SOPHIE SANDBERG, CAMPAIGNS MANAGER

Sophie Sandberg is an activist with a passion for gender justice campaigning. In 2016, Sophie founded Catcalls of NYC, an initiative that raises awareness about street harassment using colorful chalk art and digital media. Since then, her work has reached millions of people online and inspired the youth-led movement Chalk Back, which spans six continents.

Sophie has worked with organizations including UN Women, United Nations Girls Education, and Vital Voices Global Partnership, to campaign for safer public spaces for all girls, women, and queer people. In her free time, she loves to run around Brooklyn.
