GIVE FROM YOUR IRA
If you’re 70½ or older, you can make a donation to Free to Run straight from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA), and it won’t count as taxable income. It’s a great way to support women and girls in conflict-affected regions while also getting a tax benefit.
WHY GIVE FROM YOUR IRA?
It’s tax-smart – You can give up to $108,000 annually and your gift won’t be counted as income, which could lower your tax bill. This method of giving is also referred to as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) or an IRA Charitable Rollover.
It counts toward your required withdrawals – If you have to take money out of your IRA (called a Required Minimum Distribution or RMD), this donation can help meet that requirement.
It makes an immediate impact – Your gift helps young women and girls reclaim public space, build confidence, and lead in their communities.
HOW TO MAKE A GIFT
Ask your IRA provider to send a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly to Free to Run.
Give them this information:
Organization Name: Free to Run Inc
EIN/Tax ID: 47-2766786
Mailing Address: Free to Run, 3980 Broadway Suite 103-109, Boulder, CO, 80304, USA.
Let us know! Since IRA gifts don’t always include your name, please email us at donate@freetorun.org so we can keep an eye out for your donation and thank you properly! You can also ask your IRA provider to include your name and contact details with the gift.
