TCS SYDNEY MARATHON

Are you going for a 7th World Major Marathon Star, or perhaps you’ve always dreamed of running across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge? Free to Run is pleased to announce that we are an official Charity Partner of the 2026 TCS Sydney Marathon, set to take place on Sunday August 30, 2026.

Sydney became an Abbott World Major Marathon in 2025 and interest in this race has sky-rocketed since then. If you weren’t successful in the ballot, a charity place bib is your ticket into the 2026 race. Apply for one of Free to Run’s limited spaces now to secure your spot!

We’re looking for runners who are committed to raising $4,000 USD or more. Joining Team Free to Run is a great way to prepare yourself for success in the TCS Sydney Marathon, while also demonstrating your commitment to global gender equity and making a difference for girls and young women living in conflict-affected communities.

As a Sydney Marathoner, you’ll be part of Ambassador community and have the opportunity to connect with other Free to Run athletes and supporters around the world. Ambassadors also get insider access to learn about our programs and meet participants and staff from our program areas like Iraq, Palestine, and Afghanistan.
