ROBERT LANKENAU, BOARD MEMBER
Robert Lankenau is a humanitarian response and international development professional with 18+ years of experience in mostly fragile states and post-conflict settings where he's managed complex country operations, large funding portfolios, and diverse teams. As such, he’s held Country Director, Director of Programs, and other positions in various contexts and countries in Central, North, and West Africa, Afghanistan, and the Middle East. He's adept at long-term strategic planning and generating out-of-the-box solutions to promote innovation, improve program quality, and resolve operational challenges. Robert is also successful in growing funding portfolios and liaising with governments, constituent communities, donors, and local stakeholders. A native of Germany, Robert holds Master’s degrees in economic development and public health in developing countries, respectively.
